Sneaking into Cities

I sneaked into cities the past few days.
  • First there was Paris, I have never seen another culture so obviously and immediately focused on being creative or different. The undulating escalators and angled tube walkways of CDG is the first signal as you land in Paris.
  • Then, there was NY, where I thought I heard a man in a bar say when asked what he wanted in a city (I may have heard it wrong, but I like my version), "Nothing much, a decent newspaper, folks to make the news in it, and when I put my hand up at the street corner, there should be a taxi,"
  • Finally, there was Las Vegas, I came back with the stink of cigarettes from the carpets and not a mot in sight.
