DyDAn, DyDAn Research Blog

DIMACS has been and will be a good resource for theoretical computer scientists. Independently, a DIMAS-esque, new operation has begun at Rutgers, called DyDAn (Center for Dynamic Data Analysis). Fred Roberts will be the Director, and there will be collaboration between theoretical CS/Stats/Optimization and others. There is a blog in its natal state to discuss mathematical/algorithmic research issues related to DyDAn research.

It's a sad state of academic affairs when one needs "Department of Home Security" in the title of something related to research in order to get funding.

Totally agree with Rob! The porn business generates quite some money, so why don't you convince them that your BS research can improve their profit ... in return, you'll get great fundings!
